The technologies used on this website
The public pages are delivered as static web pages. You can read news and service information without a user account. RFD uses its own count of completed mortgage calculations, without cookies or visitor profiles. No advertising module has been enabled. The fonts and website files are served locally. On the homepage, we also automatically load an external rating image from Advieskeuze.
Cookies and browser storage
A cookie is a small piece of data that a website can store in your browser. When the contact form is available, it uses a functional session cookie named roso_contact. This forms part of the form's security and is not used for advertising or tracking your browsing behaviour.
The session cookie contains a random session code, with no name, email address or message text. The browser retains the cookie for the session. The associated submission token is valid for no more than thirty minutes and can be used once. The cookie is limited to the form route; appropriate security settings are used on the hosting service.
The form does not use localStorage or sessionStorage to save your message. The necessary security cookie does not require an advertising cookie choice. The external Advieskeuze widget on the homepage operates separately, as described below.
Counting completed calculations
After a successful calculation, the calculator sends an event with a random deduplication code and a temporary security token to our own server. No income, commitments, property information or contact details are included. This count uses no cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage and does not recognise returning visitors. Daily totals are retained for no more than 90 days and temporary deduplication codes for no more than 48 hours. The privacy notice provides more detail.
If you request contact or a PDF by email, that form uses the same necessary session cookie and security as the general contact form. Downloading a PDF does not need that cookie.
Advieskeuze on the homepage
The rating image is automatically retrieved from cdn.advieskeuze.nl. This service receives technical request data, including your IP address and browser information. The service may use its own cookies. No external script or frame is loaded for this widget. Clicking the image opens the Advieskeuze website. Consult Advieskeuze's information and settings for processing by that service.
You can close the widget using the cross. We store only the value 1 under rfd_advieskeuze_closed in sessionStorage to keep the widget closed when you reload or return in the same tab. This functional preference contains no name, email address, calculation or visitor profile. The preference ends with the tab's browser session; browser session recovery may restore a session. If your browser blocks storage, you can still close the widget, but the choice will not be remembered on your next page visit. Closing removes the image; it does not remove requests already sent or external cookies.
What happens when you follow an external link?
The appointment button and claim action take you to existing external services. An ordinary link opens its destination only when you follow it; it is not an automatically loaded embed on this page. The external destination may use its own cookies and storage. Read the information and choices provided there. This cookie page does not manage your settings in those services.
Your browser settings
You can view, delete or block saved cookies and website data through your browser settings. The location and names of these settings vary by browser. Bear in mind that blocking them may affect an external appointment or claims service. If you prefer to discuss your question directly, telephone and email remain available through the contact page.

If you have a question about a request you see while visiting the website, contact RFD and mention the page and browser used. This explanation relates to the selected basic version. If, for example, analytics, a map or a video is added later, the technologies and any consent must be reassessed before use, and the information on this page must be updated.
Frequently asked questions
Why is there no advertising cookie banner?
RFD has not enabled an advertising module. The count of completed mortgage calculations uses no cookies or visitor profiles. The contact form uses a necessary functional security cookie. An external Advieskeuze rating image does load on the homepage. The cookie and privacy information describes this image and the functional choice to close it.
Do the same cookie settings apply when I book an appointment?
The external booking service has its own settings and information. You manage those within that service.
Can I contact you without using an external service?
Yes. The contact page offers direct telephone and email links. To process a claim, follow the appropriate reporting route.
